Headquarters

Located on the Camarillo Airport, the Ventura County Fire Department Headquarters has been in its present facility since 1992. The Fire District’s Administration, Emergency Services, Fiscal Services, Fire Prevention, and Planning & Technology Bureaus all operate out of Headquarters. Also located on the Camarillo Airport, but in separate facilities, are the Fire Communications Center and the Regional Training Center.

By 2002, the original building had become cramped and did not serve the Department’s needs. A major remodeling and building addition project was undertaken expanding the facility by more than 18,000 sq.ft. This included a new reception area and Media Center, executive offices and two-story office and meeting facility. Read a brief history of the Department’s headquarters.
