Spark of Love Toy Drive 2022

Spark of Love 2022 logo

The Fire Departments of Ventura County and ABC7 are once again teaming up to bring the 30th Annual Spark of Love Toy Drive to Ventura County, the largest community toy drive in the nation. Year after year, your local firefighters have been collecting donations for distribution to Ventura County children and teens in need of a happier holiday experience.

Last year, the Fire Departments of Ventura County successfully collected over 140,000 toys, supporting more than 25,000 children and over 75 non-profits.

Spark of Love is only possible due to the ongoing generosity of thousands of people in our communities across the region.

This year, we are partnering with Food Share. Dedicated to leading the fight against hunger in Ventura County, Food Share will be providing boxes of food to families served thru this year’s toy drive.

Now through Christmas Eve, community members and businesses throughout Ventura County can bring a new, unwrapped toy, sports equipment, and non-perishable food to any participating location to be donated to local children and teens. All donations collected stay within our community.

How to Donate

Hosting a Toy Drive?

All participating businesses can pick up donation boxes, posters, and collateral materials starting November 1st and should drop off donations to Toy Central in Camarillo no later than Monday, December 12th to ensure delivery to children and teens in time for the holidays. After this date, all donations will be redirected to a receiving nonprofit.

Toy Requests

To maintain safety and minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Firefighters of Ventura County will distribute toys to non-profit organizations in Ventura County this holiday season. We do not provide toys directly to individuals and encourage residents to join forces with a participating organization in their community to request toys.

Residents may also call 2-1-1 for information regarding toy drives and resources in their area.

Spark of Love children and toys

As the Spark of Love depends on the generosity of our community, the Firefighters of Ventura County cannot guarantee toy delivery or forecast event participation.

Together, we can keep the Spark of Love alive for children
in Ventura County this holiday season!
