Station 39 History
Station 39 is the temporary home for an engine company that provides additional coverage during the day when the Ventura County Fire Department experiences its highest volume of calls for help.
VCFD plans to relocate that “day engine” within Thousand Oaks as part of several moves once the new Station 34 now being built opens.
Composed of approximately 600 dedicated men and women, the Ventura County Fire Department is an all-hazard, full-service agency. We proudly provide fire protection, medical aid, rescue, hazardous materials response, and a variety of other services to the public.
