Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed on a person when their heart has stopped beating. Successfully performing CPR can double or triple chances of survival following a cardiac arrest event. Put simply, this life-saving tactic keeps cardiac arrest victims alive and limits damage to their brain.
