Meet the Dispatcher: Brittany Lavallee

Brittany LaVallee
Brittany LaVallee Dodgers

Hi all, my name is Brittany, my coworkers call me CLIFFY, BRL, or Lavallee. I am from Simi Valley and very proud to be a resident of Ventura County. My favorite sports teams are the Dodgers and the Rams! I enjoy paddleboarding, playing with my goddaughters, spending time with family and hiking with my husband and our two German Shepherds. On Sunday afternoons you can find me at a family BBQ or with my coworkers preparing a delicious group meal!

Just short of 5 years.

While I was in school a student in my class was conducting research on emergency response times starting at the time of dispatch. It caught my attention, and I started the process.

The people I work with. I have been so fortunate to create strong bonds and consider them family! We have been through tough times and have created great memories together as well.

About a year ago I took a call for a worried soon-to-be grandpa! His daughter-in-law was 9 months pregnant and having labor pains. You could hear it in his voice how excited he was. The units got on scene and shortly after they delivered a baby!

The Easy Fire. We dispatched units to a fire threatening my parents’ neighborhood and other adjoining neighborhoods. It was very inspiring seeing the room and oncoming shift power through call volume, adjust fire and ambulance apparatus coverage, order aircraft and other emergency equipment for structure protection. I am very thankful to all cooperating agencies that were able to come together to help all of those in need.

If you call 911 on a cell phone, we don’t always know EXACTLY where you are but have a general idea of where you can be. Don’t hang up if you accidentally dial 911. We will send units to your last location provided by your phone. Just stay on the line and let us know it was an accident. We won’t be mad.
