Station 29 New

Station history:
Fire Station 29 serves the eastern portion of the City of Santa Paula and the surrounding unincorporated areas of the County. Prior to serving as VCFD Fire Station 29 it was Santa Paula Fire Station 81. The station is staffed daily by three firefighters and houses Engine 29 and Brush Engine 329. Fire Station 29 is in Battalion 5. Those firefighters are currently operating out of a temporary building while a new station is built.
The original station was built in 1935 and was then named SPFD station number one. The station underwent significant renovations over the years. The station is located near the historic downtown section of Santa Paula on Tenth Street. The Fire District changed the station designation to Station 29 on July 8, 2018, when the City of Santa Paula joined the Fire District. The new building will provide larger apparatus bays to support expanded service with modern equipment. It is designed to fit within the historic downtown and will feature a small museum with photos and memorabilia highlighting the fire service in Santa Paula.
