Station 47 History

Station 47

Ventura County Fire Station 47 was built in response to additional development in the Big Sky area and other safety needs in the central part of the city. The station’s central location on the north side of the freeway improves response times into the Big Sky and surrounding areas and increase operational effectiveness. This station provides firefighters faster access to the freeway for responses into others areas of the city. The station is staffed by a 3 person engine company, operating Medic-Engine 47, and reserve Ladder Truck 147.
