Firefighters moved into the Ventura County Fire Department’s new Fire Station 34, located on Avenida de los Arboles and Mountclef Blvd. in Thousand Oaks in March 2025. Fire Station 34 serves the northern part of Thousand Oaks and the east end of the Santa Rosa Valley. The building includes two pull-through engine bays, seven dorms, two offices, a kitchen and dining area, fitness room, day room, four restrooms, and a storage building. The station is currently staffed as a single engine crew with three firefighters. The building is designed for two engines if additional service is needed to support the community members of Thousand Oaks.
