Station 40
Fire Station 40 is located in the Mountain Meadows area of Moorpark. This station was built and staffed in 1989 to provide fire protection in the west Moorpark area due to rapid and dense growth there. In 2005, the firefighter position was upgraded to Paramedic/Firefighter and Engine 40 became a Medic/Engine.  The Mountain Meadows Fire Station is staffed daily by three firefighters and houses Medic/Engine 40; Reserve Engine 140; Utility Pickup 40; and USAR tractor/trailer 40. The trailer carries specialized tools and equipment for Urban Search and Rescue incidents: trench rescue, building collapse, high and vertical angle rescue and confined space rescue. Also assigned is the USAR Cache 40 trailer that carries additional tools and supplies for shoring.
